What are possible causes of dysfunction at the brain stem level?


Delay at the brain stem level usually involve some time of trauma such as:

 In Pregnancy

  • Severe Stress
  • Exposure to toxins
  • Severe Illness
  • Use of medications
  • Drugs / Excessive Alcohol use
  • Threatened Miscarriage
  • Placental Insufficiency
  • Uncontrolled Diabetes

Birth or Early Infant Trauma:

  • Caesarian birth
  • Cord around the neck
  • Placenta Previa
  • Breech
  • Blue Baby
  • Use of forceps
  • Long labor
  • Fetal Distress
  • Lack of oxygen to the new born
  • Premature / Post mature birth
  • Requiring resuscitation
  • Severe Jaundice
  • A fall
  • Automobile accident, surgery
  • Physical, emotional or mental trauma

Some children may show early problems with eating, sleeping, breathing. 

The immune system and/or digestion might be delayed in development.
