Delay at the brain stem level usually involve some time of trauma such as:
In Pregnancy
- Severe Stress
- Exposure to toxins
- Severe Illness
- Use of medications
- Drugs / Excessive Alcohol use
- Threatened Miscarriage
- Placental Insufficiency
- Uncontrolled Diabetes
Birth or Early Infant Trauma:
- Caesarian birth
- Cord around the neck
- Placenta Previa
- Breech
- Blue Baby
- Use of forceps
- Long labor
- Fetal Distress
- Lack of oxygen to the new born
- Premature / Post mature birth
- Requiring resuscitation
- Severe Jaundice
- A fall
- Automobile accident, surgery
- Physical, emotional or mental trauma
Some children may show early problems with eating, sleeping, breathing. The immune system and/or digestion might be delayed in development.
